This is when we were welcomed onto the Marae. We sang Te Araho and we listened to them sing their song. They were talking about the Marae. Matua Shane was speaking about the carvings.
We are learning to buddy read. We have to read quietly and we have to sit close to the other person (Elbow to elbow, knee to knee, EEKK). We can read at the same time or read one page at a time and take turns.
Room 13 have been practicing silent reading for the first four weeks. We need to think about not moving around and not sitting next to people we talk to. We get to read books that suit us best and we get to choose where we sit. Do you think we made good choices?
